The speaker was Kiwon Song, Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry, Yonsei University and Director of Academic Society on Visions of Ecozoic Era

Professor Song provided the lecture on ‘life’ through the lenses of life and sciences. As the author of the book, Life, she introduced the current state of science with respect to artificially transformed life forms as a process of life-sciences development and addressed a newly arisen category of issues: the life-ethical issues. It was an opportunity to reflect deeply on the humans’ engagement with life, whether it is inevitable, the positioning of ethical and legal boundaries for reasonable solutions, and even the limitations of suggested solutions.
