People for Earth invited Dr. Anna Griching to speak at the sixth Yujae Special with the theme “Designing a Community for Life and Peace.” Working as a senior research fellow at Institute for Environmental Diplomacy and Security, University of Vermont, Dr. Gritching’s research focuses on ecological conservation and cooperation in conflict areas and border areas, cultural heritage studies, and sustainable development.

Dr. Gritching’s talk was interesting and original using a comprehensive approach that went beyond the interdisciplinary system, emphasized on human-nature cooperation and combined humanities and art. A few days after the talk, Dr. Gritching presented at PyeongChang Peace Forum 2020 with the theme “DMZ as the World Peace Heritage Site.”
